Marquardt Middle School and Miami University Collaboration

Finished in 2024,
I was the lead fabricator for a collaboration on 4 sculptures between art students from Marquardt Middle School in Chicago, Illinois, and sculpture students from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Maquettes were developed by the Miami students after  in-depth workshopping with the Marquardt students to understand what was important to them and what inspired them as young people growing up today. Four  themes emerged from this process: Chrysalis, Dream, Steps, and Music. 
I created the final sculptures from these themes and maquettes in collaboration with students, faculty, donors, and the installation crew at Marquardt.
