Archaeology of myth

Integrating what we create from our hands with what has been born of flesh and blood is a fascination that reaches back thousands of years. The oldest civilizations were aware of the responsibilities and repercussions of endeavors such as cybernetics and genetic manipulation. Stories of human/beast creatures such as the Minotaur, and fully constructed automatons like Talos or Pandora abound in the ancient world and the wisdom of those tales endured for millennia. Now that humanity has reached a place where these fantasies are becoming reality, I find it comforting to reflect on the fact that our questions aren't new and that we might still find some answers from yesterday as we face today.
